1941 The founder Yasaburo Iwama established a company in Nagoya and began dealing ceramic materials.
1946 The company was reorganized. Nitto Sangyo Co., Ltd. was established and started to deal in specialized raw materials for ceramics. The company’s capital was ¥180,000.
1948 Increased the capital to ¥500,000.
1949 Increased the capital to ¥1,000,000.
1951 Nitto Sangyo began to import Zircon opacifier and ceramic colors such as Zr-V Blue/Yellow produced in USA, which greatly contributed to quality improvement of ceramic wares.
1955 Succeeded in domestic production of Zr-family colors.
1956 Succeeded in producing Zircon Opacifier, which was named ‘ZIRCONIT’
1956 Increased the capital to ¥3,000,000.
1958 Stated to import Petalite ore from Zimbabwe, which contributed to remarkable growth of Heat Resistance ware market.
1961
Started to import borate minerals, Colemanite and Ulexite from Turkey.
1963
Increased the capital to ¥10,000,000.
1985 Research & Development center was established in Yokkaichi.
2005 Obtained ECO ACTION 21 license
2009 New Distribution center was established in Kusu, Yokkaichi, and all distribution function was moved and integrated there.
